Fuel Genie Systems are on‑board hydrogen “Enhanced Air” kits designed to improve fuel efficiency in petrol and diesel engines. By adding hydrogen‑enriched air to the intake, these systems help the engine burn fuel more completely, reducing consumption and emissions while maintaining normal drivability.

Fuel Genie kits are suitable for most petrol and diesel cars and trucks. On petrol engines over 2 litres, a plug‑in mini ECU is used so the vehicle’s existing ECU can correctly adjust the air–fuel mixture when hydrogen Enhanced Air is added. The system splits water to produce hydrogen Enhanced Air on demand, which is introduced into the intake stream so you can travel the same distance using less fuel – a straightforward application of well‑understood combustion science.

Laboratory and on‑road testing show that these kits are safe, durable and straightforward to install, with demonstrated increases in fuel economy of around 20% on open‑road driving. Hydrogen Enhanced Air promotes faster, cooler and more complete combustion by helping to break down long hydrocarbon chains into smaller molecules, which in turn supports cleaner, more efficient engine operation.

Fuel Genie Systems have been developed over more than 15 years and are backed by the USA manufacturer, Mileage Master USA, who specialise in fuel‑saving technologies. The kits are designed to avoid impacting manufacturer warranties and require minimal ongoing attention – typically just refilling the fluid reservoir at intervals of about 10,000 km.

From an emissions perspective, testing has shown substantial reductions in key exhaust pollutants, including CO, NOx and unburnt hydrocarbons, as well as lower CO2 output compared with baseline operation. The cleaner, more complete combustion also helps reduce acidic components in the exhaust, contributing to cleaner air.
