The Powder Quantum Sampler is designed for freefalling powder and dry product streams in vertical or inclined pipelines. It is installed so that the product drops down and fills the halfcup extension, allowing the sampler to take a consistent sample of the falling stream. The unit operates in the same way as the slurry and liquor Quantum Sampler and uses the same proven seal kits, simplifying spares and maintenance across your site.
Above the sample discharge port there is a 1/4″ BSP connection, which is a flushing port and can be used to introduce a short burst of air, nitrogen or water etc. This helps clear sticky or non free flowing powders so that each stroke is discharged properly and the sampler remains reliable in more difficult applications.
Extended versions, with the powder sampler lengthened by 50mm, 100mm, or 150 mm, are available where additional reach into the product stream is required.
